We knew we need to raise a substantial amount of money over a period of time.  We knew it couldn’t be done easily.  We’ve got a board of directors that all have full-time jobs.  They can’t be out there soliciting and making phone calls, nor do we have the experience.  So, we knew we had to go out to higher professional organizations.  We knew we needed a professional to help us, to show us the way.

Of course we hoped that by increasing communications our donors would grow, but the results really surprised us. People love to hear what we’re doing and how their donations are being used. For many who weren’t sure about donating in the past, now they feel really good about it.
